Corrections

When a figure or statement we published turns out to have been wrong, it is listed here, newest first: the date we corrected it, what was published, what it was corrected to, why it was wrong and how we found it, with links to the pages that changed.

Figures are given as published and as corrected on the date shown; prices, ratings and scores have moved with the daily updates since. A figure we showed as “not enough data” and later filled in is not listed: it was missing, not wrong. Changes to how products are scored are listed under method changes. The log was started on 22 October 2026; corrections made before then are not all listed.

If you find a number that does not match its source, please tell us through the contact page.

· Buyer ratings read from the wrong block on the brand page

On nine product pages the buyer rating shown was not the product's own: on Ascent pages the rating came from a recipe block or carried the store-wide review count, and on Double Wood pages from an out-of-date page block that disagreed with the review widget. Six of these ratings entered the overall score.

Why it was wrong: Our capture took the first product rating in the page's structured data, even when the page held several ratings that disagreed or a product rating that repeated the store-wide review count.

How we found it: An independent audit of a sample of 60 stored buyer ratings against each brand page as rendered in a browser.

These products have no buyer rating until the capture can read their own rating again; the score is reweighted across the remaining components meanwhile, as for any product without one.

Pages corrected:

· Ingredient rows matched to a compound they contain or are supplied as

The dose audit matched some label rows to the wrong compound: chloride, calcium and phosphorus rows supplied as a potassium or magnesium salt were counted as potassium or magnesium, a sodium nitrate row and an MCT powder containing sodium caseinate as sodium, and a BCAA total as isoleucine. Two trade-name spellings, creatine hydrochloride as Con-Cret and choline bitartrate as VitaCholine, were not recognised, so on RYSE Loaded Pre and Kaged Pre Kaged a dosed ingredient was left out of the dose audit and the scores built on it. On the other seven pages the count of ingredients matched to the clinical reference was wrong; the mismatched rows did not enter their scores.

RYSE Hydration Sticks: 9 of 11 dosed ingredients matched the clinical referenceRYSE Hydration Sticks: 6 of 11 dosed ingredients matched the clinical reference

Why it was wrong: Our ingredient matcher filed a row under an audited substance found anywhere in its name, including the salt a mineral is supplied as or an ingredient listed inside a compound ingredient's name, and did not know the two trade-name spellings.

How we found it: A sweep of every ingredient row on every verified product, comparing the name each row prints with the compound it was matched to.

The same rescore also applied the method changes of 22 October 2026, which moved some of these figures further that day: RYSE Loaded Pre value 4.75, overall 6.86; Kaged Pre Kaged dose integrity 5.32, $3.07 per dosed serving, value 1.50, overall 5.24. Value is ranked within the category, so this correction on its own also raised eleven other pre-workouts' value scores by 0.25.

Pages corrected:

· A three-jar bundle counted as one jar

Key Nutrients Electrolyte Recovery Plus's three-jar bundle, sold as “3x90 servings”, was counted as 90 servings instead of 270, so its cheapest price per gram of sodium was missed. Because value is ranked within the category, one other electrolyte's value score moved with it.

As publishedCorrected to
Key Nutrients Electrolyte Recovery Plus: $4.34 per g sodium; value 4.17; overall 7.52Key Nutrients Electrolyte Recovery Plus: $3.36 per g sodium; value 4.58; overall 7.68
RYSE Hydration Sticks: value 4.58; overall 7.25RYSE Hydration Sticks: value 4.17; overall 7.05

Why it was wrong: Our size parser ignored the “3x” multiplier in a bundle's size name.

How we found it: An independent audit of a sample of 87 published brand-store prices against each store's own page.

Pages corrected:

· Prices per gram from the size name, not the printed net weight

Cost figures were worked out from the weight in the store's size name (for example “4LB” taken as 1,814 g) instead of the net weight printed on the label of that size.

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Pre Workout Fruit Punch: $1.93 per dosed servingOptimum Nutrition Gold Standard Pre Workout Fruit Punch: $1.92 per dosed serving

Why it was wrong: Our pricing took each package's weight from its size name, and a size name can differ from the net weight its label prints: the Transparent Labs “2LB” tub's label prints 1,047 g, where 2 lb is 907 g.

How we found it: Two independent readers transcribed the printed net weight of each size from the brand's own label images.

Value scores of other products in the same categories moved by 0.16 to 0.17, because value is ranked within the category; their own prices and weights were unchanged.

Pages corrected:

· Servings per container for a different pack size

Servings per container was printed as if it held for every pack size on the page. On these two pages it did not hold for the pack the page is named for or the only pack sold.

As publishedCorrected to
Nutricost Whey Protein Concentrate Powder (address names the 5 lb tub; 1.5 lb, 2 lb and 5 lb listed): “25 servings per container”, the 2 lb label's countNutricost Whey Protein Concentrate Powder: “25 servings per container (the 2 lb label we read)”
Kaged Whey Protein Isolate (only the 3 lb tub listed): “25 servings per container”, from a label for a 25-serving packageKaged Whey Protein Isolate: “servings per container not on record for the size listed”

Why it was wrong: A servings count is what one label prints; the page printed it without naming that label's pack size.

How we found it: A check of every published servings count against the pack sizes listed beside it.

Pages corrected:

· Vitamin D3 amounts printed in mg instead of IU

The dose table on product pages listing vitamin D3 printed its amounts in milligrams (mg) instead of International Units (IU).

As publishedCorrected to
Reference amount shown as “600 mg”; a 5,000 IU label amount shown as “5,000 mg”“600 IU”; “5,000 IU”

Why it was wrong: The table printed every amount with “mg”, although vitamin D3 amounts are recorded in IU.

How we found it: A read of every page type's published claims against the data.

Display only: scores were not affected, because the comparison behind them was always made in IU.

Pages corrected:

· Three protein bars read from an earlier label

Nutrition figures for three David Protein bars were from an earlier version of their labels.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: fiber 1 gChocolate Chip Cookie Dough: fiber 2 g
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk: fiber 1 g; total carbohydrate 12 gPeanut Butter Chocolate Chunk: fiber 2 g; total carbohydrate 11 g

Why it was wrong: The brand replaced its nutrition label images on 2026-09-03 under the same file names, after our readers transcribed them on 2026-08-24; our check for changed labels compared file names only, so it did not see the new versions.

How we found it: A blind re-read of every published label by readers who did not see our figures; two new independent readers then transcribed the current labels.

Scores did not change.
