About this site

Gym Product Review rates gym supplements — protein powders, protein bars, protein snacks, pre-workouts, and energy drinks — on numbers anyone can check: what a gram of protein actually costs, and whether a formula is dosed at the levels published research used.

Every published number traces to a source. Nutrition data is transcribed from each product's own supplement facts panel, and a product publishes only when two independent readings of that label agree on every value. Prices come from brand storefronts and retail listings, named and dated wherever they appear. Buyer-sentiment scores carry their review counts and link to the page they were read from.

Where a number cannot be verified, the site says insufficient data instead of estimating. That rule is inconvenient and we keep it anyway — it is the entire point.

The method, in one paragraph

Each product is scored on up to three weighted components: value (cost per gram of protein, per dosed serving, or per can, ranked against its category), formula (computed from the label: protein density, sugar and calorie load, dose integrity against cited clinical thresholds where applicable), and consensus (a sourced buyer rating with a minimum review count). The full method, including every dose threshold and its citation, is published at how we rate.

Independence

Some links earn this site a commission, and every page carrying one says so. No brand pays for a rating, no brand can raise or remove one, and products are rated identically whether or not there is money attached. See the affiliate disclosure.
