Support & Recovery
The categories that are not training supplements, scored the same way: what the label states, what it costs per unit of the active, and what published research used. 69 scored products today.
How these are scored
Each category is weighted for what it is actually sold on, so the cost column divides by a different thing in each one. A protein powder prices per gram of protein; an electrolyte mix prices per gram of sodium, because sodium is the one electrolyte a Nutrition Facts panel must quantify.
| Category | Cost basis | Weights |
|---|---|---|
| Skin Support | cost per gram of the labelled active | label disclosure 35%, value 30%, dose integrity 20%, consensus 15% |
| Body Composition Support | cost per fully dosed serving | dose integrity 40%, value 30%, label disclosure 15%, consensus 15% |
| Electrolytes | cost per gram of sodium | value 40%, label disclosure 25%, formula 20%, consensus 15% |
A dose threshold is never invented. Every one traces to a named source in the reference, and where no clinical dose has been established — curcumin, whole-fruit saw palmetto — or the only published dose comes from studies in people with a diagnosed condition — biotin, saw palmetto extract, fish oil, NAC, milk thistle — the active is recognised and reported by name but not scored. A missing component is never counted as zero: its weight is redistributed and the page says which one was omitted.

A category appears here until enough of its products can be scored on the axis that carries its weight. Most of the shortfall is not products we have not read — it is actives with no dose this site can audit against, and labels that do not state the amount a dose is about.
